Liam's First Year Scrapbook
I started scrapbooking six years ago when my nephew Carter was born. I wasn't all that great at it. I printed letters from Word and cut out designs from patterned paper to make embellishments. Since then, I have acquired a Cricut. I honestly don't know what I ever did without one.
These pictures are a few of my favorites from the most recent scrapbook that I created for my nephew Liam. I used Lyrical Letters for most of the fonts, and all of the embellishments (with only a few exceptions) were made using the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I absolutely love this cartridge and the pages turned out super cute!
I used Cricut Craft Room to "squeeze" the letters together and add the curlicues. The machine cut it all out together, which was much easier to position on the paper. |
The vine is a sticker and the monkey and bananas were made by me. So cute! |
I used a different animal for each page opening. There are so many adorable animals to make with this cartridge, it was really hard to narrow it down to 11. |
His name was made using the All Mixed Up cartridge. I used the square feature and then "squeezed" it all together using Cricut Craft Room until it was all one big rectangle. |
I made two coordinating pages for each month of his first year. I fell in love with this squirrel and the little tiny acorns. |
The brads were store-bought, but the adorable dog is all me (with the help of Cricut, of course). |
For each page opening, I left spaces for three pictures and a place for mom to record some of Liam's memorable moments from the month. |

Welcome!
This blog is all about finding and expressing creativity. I have always been "artsy", but have never been able to develop it until now. I will be posting some of my creations every now and then, with plans to eventually set up shop at etsy. (I already have a shop, but it's empty!) I have never studied art, and may not be doing things properly. I just do what I feel. I welcome any comments and suggestions that would make my work stronger.
